Made of hair bonding glue, a rubber latex and carbon black dye material, used as an adhesive to attach extensions to your head. A process performed upon me starting at age 13. A process I was excited to experience, it meant I too could be beautiful and desirable but continued usage of this material incrementally destroys the hair follicles and the lack I was conditioned to understand innately existing within me became real. Bringing this material into my studio pouring large amounts of it onto a flat surface, once it begins to cure I spring into action, working intuitively to defamiliarize it. Thus a new ritual emerges, oriented towards resurrection and healing.
